ABA Therapy Resources for Parents and Professionals

ABA Therapy Resources for Parents and Professionals

Books

Dr. Mary Barbera wrote a step-by-step guide to understanding a simple, yet evidence-based verbal behavior approach for any parent or professional in her first book, Verbal Behavior Approach.

This will allow anyone to pick it up and run an ABA therapy session. Her second book, Turn Autism Around, has even more resources than her first one.

If a traditional DTT style ABA therapy is not your favorite thing to see, Pivotal Response Treatment (PRT) can be something you are looking for.

Motivational procedures and child-centered approaches are all about getting the child with autism/language delay to talk more. It’s an inspiring resource, and pretty amazing to see the research they have done so far.
