The weather gets warmer and we just had our 120th day of school. In March, many teachers love doing activities around St. Patrick’s day. If you are teaching based on a monthly theme in March, you can target the following words:
St Patrick’s Day, Ireland, Irish, holiday, March, potato, shamrock, pot of gold, leprechaun, rainbow, clover, luck, good luck, and Saint Patrick, St.

Read-aloud books are a great way to introduce this special day. For older students, getting into more detail about the history of St. Patrick’s day is a great idea too.
I will also look for activities in March for my students to continue to practice fine motor skills. This is a set of March, St. Patrick’s day themed simple worksheets targeting students’ fine motor skills. It will be a great addition to your March lesson plans to work on hand-eye coordination.
