It’s February-
We are talking about many things this month, and these are some:
heart, letter, friends, flowers, chocolate, cupcake, candy, cupid, Valentine’s Day, flag, President’s Day, shadow, and Groundhog
My students and I have started this month to learn about Groundhog day. It seems younger students are not so much into this day, but I would love to read books and talk about the weather changes.
Thanks to many talented educators who are willing to share free Valentine’s day resources with our students. These are appropriate for K-2nd graders:
Valentine’s Day Packet
Valentine’s Day Word Searches
Valentine’s Day CVC Worksheets
Valentine’s Day Math – Numbers
Valentine 2 Digit Addition & Subtraction With Regrouping
Kindergarten Valentine’s Day Centers – CVC Words – Numbers – Sight Words
You can download my Free Valentine’s day fine motor simple worksheets from my store. Click on the Preview.
Don’t forget to check out Boomcards. I am sure there are tons of good ones- and I like to start with simple matching games, counting, word matching, and making sentences.

There are so many books on Youtube for read-aloud activities. They can be great resources. Don’t forget to read about the life of Abraham Lincoln and George Washington as President’s day also falls in the month of February.
