Some of my older students (3-5th grade with autism) need practice on many math skills, Beside from their IEP goals, most would benefit from practicing in number sense, place value, addition and subtraction, geometry, time/money, and word problems.
This 3rd grader of mine just learned how to add/subtract. Thanks to Touch Points! It was a big milestone for this kid. Sure thing. He needs to practice basic math skills in a consistent manner and he responds well to the structured worksheets. It’s always hard to find a suitable and engaging math curriculum for my students in special education. Even more so in the multi-age/grade class. 😌 My mission has been finding or creating simple math worksheets in special education.
Daily Math 5 Worksheet (Daily 5 format) has been super useful. It is a highly structured format with math problems. His mom approached me one day saying, “this was perfect for my kid”. She also mentioned that she could always go back revisit specific skills that her child showed difficulty with while completing the daily assignment. Her son has been struggling in making progress in academics due to his limited language and attention/social skills.
