Everyday Teaching Autism Resources

It was a nice break..everyone seems relaxed and rejuvenated after 2 weeks off.

Today, we practiced asking questions and answering about their break.

What did you do during winter break?

I used this book to ask each students for 2 questions. How long? What did you?   With visual cues, students were encouraged to read total 4 sentences one at a time.

1. We stayed home for __________. (I had two choices on the board for the student to pick out, 3 days or 2 weeks.)
2. What did you do?
3. I ________________________. (Students will have 3-5 choices on the board depending on the students visual discrimination skills.)
4. It was fun.
5. How was yours?  (I just realized this last question will add up some social piece of the activity!!)
