This is the second part of the 3 lessons under Weather and Climate unit. Now, I wanted to introduce our Weather Chart to the students and keep on report each day’s weather(temperature) to the chart as a part of a daily morning routine. This will give us opportunities to use a graph in a functional way, also to understand a weather pattern.
1. In the group time, ask around what’s today’s weather by giving choices.Sunny or Rainy?
2. Remind students that each day we get the special number, aka, temperature.
Bring the smart phone out, use a voice search(app) by saying “What’s today’s weather”
3. Write the number(temperature) down on the board and discuss today is hot, warm, or cold.

Incorporating technology in a daily routine is a fun/function/meaningful way to teach our students life skills-
