Let’s bring this simple Direction words out during an Art activity. In stead of verbally prompting students over and over again, let this guide students to follow through the activity. It also promotes students’ independence big time.

In the morning, we talk about who is at school and who’s not. When the names are up there on the board, students tend to pay more attention about who’s in the class for the day. Also they learn quickly to read each other’s name with NO pictures. Great way to promote functional reading skills!!!
